We have a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UKs largest and fastest growing retailer as an Area Manager. We’ve enjoyed significant growth across Ecommerce, International and Partnership channels recently and there’s never been a better time to join our thriving, people centric company.
The area currently is currently thriving with 30 stores inside the M25.As Area Manager you will be required to travel regularly , taking on meetings or training courses and attending head office for regional team events. As Area Manager you will need a clean driving license with at least 12 months of driving experience, you’ll have a base store to work from when needed.
As Area Manager Your primary focus will be to develop, coach, lead and empower your store management teams to enable them to drive sales performance. We are looking for an Area Manager, multi-site manager or cluster manager or regional manager with a proven track record of inspiring teams to drive sales by continuously improving commercial awareness, customer service, and operational excellence within your stores.
Area Manager – Responsibilities
- Drive KPI performance using all available data to maximise sales.
- Be operationally hands-on in your role with the confidence to make it your own, being commercially focussed at all times, visiting all stores regularly.
- Coach and develop store management teams in decision-making, and operational excellence, taking accountability for the results achieved.
- Motivate and mentor management teams through all available communication forms including store visits, conference calls, area meetings, and frequent area updates.
- Manage performance robustly using our People processes and build strong area succession plans.
- Recruit and build a high-performance management team in each store.
- Inspire your store teams to deliver outstanding customer service
- Ensure excellent store compliance to centrally issued instructions, utilising our communication portal, and following our Store Visit Reports process
- Ensure effective shrinkage measures, and health and safety compliance are a high priority in stores.
- Monitor and manage the store's resource budget for staffing allocation
Area Manager – Required Skills
- Proven track record in retail management over a minimum of five years. Ideally in a fast-paced and customer focussed environment.
- Able to manage from a distance effectively, using a variety of communication methods. Experience in remote, area or cluster management is a preference however we would consider applications from flagship, large turnover single site store managers.
- A great people manager with natural leadership skills who can inspire and influence their team.
- Self-motivated and resilient with a high level of initiative and excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Naturally competitive and commercial with an ability to analyse and interpret sales & other financial data to improve sales performance.
- Tech savvy and able to use the latest ‘tech’ and smart devices to support routine retail operations.
- Concise, confident, and assertive communicator.
- Creative problem solver comfortable adapting to an ever-changing environment.
Area Manager – Benefits
- Salary £45,000- £50,000 Plus Bonuses – OTE £100,000
