- Prepare working drawings
- Supervise architectural technical staff
- Monitor and inspect work
- Construct architectural and display models
- Assist in design development
- Computer-aided design (CAD)
- Prepare presentation graphics and drawings
- Test and adjust units to specifications
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Coach and instruct apprentices
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
- Estimate parts and labour costs
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
