Job description
Betterview Construction Ltd. is looking to hire a full-time drafter/designer assistant with experience in Interior and Architect design to join our team and undertake a wide range of creative projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creation of conceptual design, space planning, detail design
- Demonstrate the ability to work with autoCAD or Revit to create floor plans, RCPs, interior and exterior elevations, millwork details, etc.
- Efficiency in creating renderings with 3D software
- Perform site visit to collect detail measurement and property data
- Participate in preparation of FF&E, interior architectural plans, finishes and product presentation in order to showcase the design solutions per client request
- Source and specify material products and details
- Assist in developing the material and finish specification and in preparing the interior material take-off quantity.
- Assist, develop, maintain and organize office design standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- College Diploma and/or University Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Minimum 2-year experience in Interior Design and/or Architecture fields
- Minimum 2-year experience in using computer software such AutoCAD, Revit (asset), Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Enscape rendering or similar, Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
- Knowledge of building code (Part 3,9,11) and municipal bylaws is an asset
- Excellent in organization and time management skills
- Excellent in verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong willingness and ability to learn
- Must be a team-player but also be able to work independently with low supervision

Salary: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
