Our Bristol branch is only 6 years old, but we have steadily grown our portfolio of projects through the South-West and South Wales. Now, as MOLA we have supercharged our mission to deliver high quality projects and be market leaders in innovative, efficient, bespoke archaeological and heritage services. We are a small branch with big ambitions, and we are looking for archaeologists to match.
Whilst previous archaeological experience is essential for the role, a depth of experience is not required. The successful candidate will be supported in gaining more experience, knowledge and skills as the role develops. We are looking primarily for a field archaeologist with previous experience of working in a commercial archaeology setting. They will assist with the monitoring and excavation of archaeological features, their recording and interpretation. There will be opportunity to work on field walking, metal-detecting, geophysical and historic building recording surveys within the region. This ideal candidate must have excellent written English and research skills which will enable them to contribute to all types of archaeological reporting of the projects they are involved in as well as WSI’s and DBA’s.
