We’re looking for an Arboriculture Inspector to join our Transportation team based in Birmingham. Location: Birmingham : , Full time (part time hours available if desired, just let us know) Salary: Competitive + 26 days of annual leave + Benefits Responsibilities As Arboriculture Inspector you’ll be working within the asset team, supporting them with the specialist arboriculture service to the highway maintenance service management of inspections, providing assurance to management and clients that works are completed in accordance with works information and requirements. Giving guidance and advice regarding the effective management of quality assurance and quality control, delivering quality management and improvement support. Your day to day will include: Undertaking specialist inspection of highway trees with field-based assessing of tree safety and service inspections Providing specialist arboriculture advice to the ISC Highway Maintenance Service. Responding to enquiries from the public, our client and internal service areas Raising works in our tree management system to fulfil our maintenance needs for both reactive and planned works Being pro-active in incident prevention, monitoring and recording effective corrective actions and control of non-conformances, analysing trends, and reporting accordingly Who are we looking for? This role of Arboriculture Inspector is great for you if you can: Demonstrate a Level 3/4 qualification in Arboriculture or related discipline with knowledge of current industry issues, pest and disease threats and a good understanding of vegetation related subsidence to buildings. Undertake tree surveys and use tree management software along with mapping Show a Lantra Professional Tree Inspection (PTI) qualification We’re all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferable skills are always welcome!
