Role Purpose

This role will be the complete manufacturing of components, application of protective coatings and sealing as required to engineering defined standards, using both recognised manual and automated technologies. Undertake Operations support roles as required and provide guidance and support to other areas of the business as and when necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the manufacture of aircraft components built to customer specifications within agreed budget and timescales
  • Personally responsible for the safety, health and welfare of the individual and others
  • Personally responsible for the cleanliness and housekeeping suitable for the manufacture of high quality aircraft components within their work area
  • Reading and interpreting engineering instructions and meeting the agreed customer specifications
  • Personally responsible for ensuring and certifying that the quality of his/her work consistently meets specific standards required by the Company
  • Personally responsible for the oversee as required of other operators and trainees work to the correct specification
  • Working within a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiencies to meet the changing needs of our market.
  • Undertake Operations Support roles which may take the form of Fork Lift Truck, or other Specialist Vehicle Driving, Crane Usage & Master Movers, Aircraft and component cleaning & preparation, Aircraft Sealing, Laser Shoot etc
  • Undertake Maintenance Support Tasks which may take the form of Robotic Diagnostic Checks, General TPM Checks, oils and levels, tools, jig pins etc
  • Undertake any other duties including ancillary tasks as outlined in the Approved Operator Agreement.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Successful applicants will hold an apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, accredited by a recognized governing body. The candidate should hold an SVQ Level 3 in their trade (or equivalent educational standard)
  • Recognised Engineering background through completion of craft/technical apprenticeship or relevant work experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Work on own initiative or as part of team as required
