We have an exciting opportunity to join our Work-Based Learning Team as a Motor Vehicle Assessor delivering Apprenticeship Standards. We are an Ofsted Outstanding provider offering a variety of education options to young people.
We are keen to invest in sector talent and to recruit candidates, who have no experience in delivering apprenticeships, training, or do not have the relevant Qualifications. We are looking for talented sector experts who are passionate about mentoring and coaching people.
We provide a teaching training programme where you can gain the relevant qualification to set you up in your new career at Nova Training.
This is a field based role where you will require to have your own car and full clean driving licence, to travel to different locations.
Role & Responsibilities
You will be required to carry out all duties in accordance with the Education Inspection Framework requirements and Nova’s organisational processes and policies.
Your caseload will be circa 35 learners within a 50-mile radius of your home location.
As an Assessor, your role and responsibilities will include;
· Working towards and achieving targets set by Nova relating to all aspects of Apprenticeships by delivering new standards in compliance with the ESFA across a range of subject areas.
· Delivering a minimum of two vocational areas from the suite offered by Nova Training i.e. Business Administration, Customer Service, Retail, Warehousing or Management
· Effectively embedding Functional Skills curriculum standards in all sessions.
· You will support learners with a blended learning approach completing regular face to face visits and remote teaching and coaching sessions through Microsoft teams to provide training and support, review progress and set targets.
· Conducting mock End Point Assessments as a mandatory requirement of our programme.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have the following;
· Relevant vocational and industry experience as appropriate for area of delivery
· Teaching, learning and assessment experience in 16+ apprenticeships provision
· 1 years’ experience of delivering new standards
· At least 3 years industry occupational competence.
· Assessor qualification TA element of TAQA (or D32/D33 or A1)
· GCSE grade C or above or equivalent in literacy, numeracy, ICT skills.
· Be able to work to deadlines/targets and under pressure
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
· To work flexibly and to have a creative approach to meeting targets.
· Be able to design exciting, inspiring teaching and assessment sessions that encourage high levels of interaction and achievement.
· Must be able to motivate and encourage learners to have high aspirations and pride in their work.
· Current full UK Drivers Licence (with full access to a vehicle)
Desirable Skills/Experience
· Ideal candidates will have proficient IT skills
· Level 3 Qualifications in the appropriate vocational sector
· Experience using remote learning platforms would be beneficial
· Previous experience of working in an education setting would be preferred
· Candidates must be resilient and professional with the confidence to work with a variety of learners and abilities
