The Role


We are seeking an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our BMW & MINI dealership in Salisbury to provide assistance to our vehicle servicing operation. Working alongside a qualified Technician, this role will see you gradually learn the required skills to service, repair and maintain vehicles, whilst working towards your NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.


Responsibilities


  • Provide assistance to a qualified Technician through vehicle servicing works
  • Participate in on the job training to pick up the required skills to independently complete vehicle servicing, repair and maintenance activities
  • Work as part of a team, providing assistance as and when required to a team of qualified Technicians
  • Ensure all workshop activities are completed in a safe and high quality manner, in line with both internal and manufacturer requirements
  • Participate in ongoing training and development with the manufacturer in line with the apprenticeship programme

Apprenticeship Entry Requirements


To join our manufacturer Apprenticeship Programme, it is essential that you have gained Grade C/ Level 4 in GCSE Maths, English and Science. As an entry level role, we don’t require previous experience, but look for people who can demonstrate:


  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to work well with others
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
