Our friendly, proactive and Lexcel accredited Legal Services Team has an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Solicitor to join them. This post will provide the opportunity to work with both our internal and external clients alongside more senior members of the team covering the council’s contentious and non-contentious work. Areas of practice will include regulatory enforcement, planning, commercial contracts, property, information governance and local government law. You will be responsible for managing a variety of tasks, working in a sometimes high-pressure environment and managing a caseload of your own with supervision from the Legal Services Team.
In order to be considered for this role you must hold a law degree or a 2:1 honours degree in a non-law subject and a minimum pass in a PGDL/GDL. The successful candidate will complete the Level 7 Graduate Entry Solicitor Apprenticeship (Day release study) with BPP (https://www.bpp.com/courses/law/apprenticeships/graduate-solicitor-day-release ).
