Do you have an interest in security awareness? Come and join us as an apprentice security awareness officer where you'll work closely with our information security team help to plan and develop the information security educational and awareness campaigns within United Utilities.

Successful apprentices will achieve Cyber Security Technician (level 3) which is endorsed by the Institute for Apprenticeships. More details can be found here: Cyber Security Technician Level 3
During your apprenticeship you'll learn:
- The positive role humans can play in identifying and dealing with cyber risks and how to develop plans to take advantage of this ability
- How to plan for the development of effective security awareness campaigns
- To create and manage effective awareness training, communications, and marketing
- To target campaigns to specific employees and groups
- How to ensure security awareness trainings, communications, and marketing are engaging and influences changes in employees' behaviour
You'll need 5 GCSEs or equivalent, grades A*-C or grades 9-4, which must include maths, English Language and a technology subject.
We're looking for someone who's keen to gain hands on experience, develop practical skills and achieve the standards needed to really succeed in your role.
You'll have a dedicated mentor and manager who'll be on hand to support you every step of the way. All that we ask from you is that you're willing to learn, know how to work as part of a team and can manage your time and workload to get things done.
