Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) Apprenticeship Degree in association with the University of Huddersfield.
Previous applicants need not apply.This is an innovative opportunity to work towards becoming a Registered Operating Department Practitioner by gaining a BSc (Hons) in Operating Department Practice, incorporating the Integrated Degree Apprenticeship standards for Operating Department Practice. This three year course combines work-based and academic learning between Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT) and the University of Huddersfield.
During this apprenticeship you will acquire the knowledge, skills and behaviours required across different areas of perioperative care including anaesthetics, scrub and post anaesthetic care.
On successful completion of the degree you will be eligible to apply to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to enter the Register of Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs). On successful completion of the course you are guaranteed a band 5 post in the trust as an ODP.
