Apprentice Library, Information and Archive Services Assistant

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time

Description of role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a willingness to learn and is passionate about starting a career in Library, Information and Archive Services. You will be fully supported to develop and study whilst you work. You will be required to complete a Level 3 Library, Information and Archive Services apprenticeship whilst gaining hands-on practical experience, learning on the job.

This new role will give the successful candidate experience of all aspects of information service provision in a corporate Research & Development setting. This will include

  • Acquisition, organisation and exploitation of digital and physical information resources.
  • Responding to enquiries from TWI staff and our network of global customers
  • Managing legacy paper archives
  • Operation of library service
  • Maintenance of procedures governing the delivery of the service
  • Helping shape the development of the service.

Travel:

This position may require occasional travel both in the UK
