Role: Apprentice Joiner
Location: Inverness

As an Apprentice Joiner you will be responsible for:
- To ensure any issues / problems raised at college or on site are reported to your appointed mentor, the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools and all apprenticeship log books and other relevant documents are completed on time and to the highest standards.
- To attend college as and when required to successfully fulfill the curriculum of an apprenticeship within the allotted time scale.
- To work with tradesmen in an effective, safe and helpful manner and undertake tasks as directed by relevant tradesmen.
- Co-operate with colleagues, Supervisors and Management and identify any relevant training needs to the Operations /Site Manager
- Complete paperwork on tasks complete and a weekly timesheet
- To operate always with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of Robertson Construction.
- To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate and provide support and assistance to other Robertson personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services
- Nat 5 (A-C) / GCSE in Maths and English (4-9)
- Pass initial aptitude/skills test with appointed training provider
- The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure
- Dedication and ambition to develop within the role
- Computer literate and numerate
Who we're looking for:
As an Apprentice Joiner we understand this may be one of your first roles so we’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in the construction industry, some level of experience would be great but if you can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach with excellent written and verbal communications skills this could be the role for you. You’ll also need to demonstrate your dedication and ambition to develop with the role which we can support you.
