Job description
What is the purpose of the role?
The Joiner Apprentice role will work on a range of joinery and carpentry tasks to provide safe and quality housing to our tenants.
We will support you to achieve all work-related skills and qualifications to become a qualified Joiner and gain a level 2 qualification Carpentry and Joinery.
On completion of the L2 qualification (approx. 2 years) you will have the option to undertake a trade test, to test your competence and if passed will progress on to a contract as a joiner.
If further workplace development is required, you will progress to Apprentice Grade 2 £19,749 for up to 1yr until competent to undertake the full role requirements.
On completion of the L2 qualification you will also have the option to continue with the L3 qualification at Apprentice Grade 2 £19,749 for 12 months and continue to be supported to achieve this to completion following the 12 months once progressed to Joiner.
We will help you to gain confidence to potentially secure permanent employment within Joinery in the future.
