About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to start your career with the University of Oxford as an Apprentice HR Administrator in the Human Resources department.
The role will be based in central Oxford in University Offices, Wellington Square where you will work within the HR Director's Office. This is a generalist role, which means that you will have the opportunity to learn about and practice the complete range of HR services covering the full employee lifecycle.
You will undertake an apprenticeship with Abingdon and Witney College at their facilities in Abingdon where you will gain a Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship. Your apprenticeship will be a combination of in-house training, as well as day-release or other distance learning methods.
Your role will be varied and will include learning a wide range of general office administration tasks, finance processes and communication activities. You will have the opportunity to develop your interpersonal skills, communication, and professionalism and to develop skills and behaviours to support your career progression in a supported and welcoming environment.

About you
You will be passionate about starting your career in Human Resources and enthusiastic about becoming an apprentice the University of Oxford.
To complete the level 3 apprenticeship you will need to evidence passes at 9-4 or A*-C in GCSE Maths and English. If you did not achieve these grades do not let that you put you off from applying as you can study Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship giving you the equivalent qualifications needed. These qualifications are completed over a 7-day period. To help check that you have the potential to achieve these, Abingdon and Witney College will ask you to complete a short initial assessment during the application process.
