A generalist apprentice HR administration role providing support to the Swindon Cluster HR Team (part of United Learning) by acting consistently and effectively in a way that supports the ethos of the Swindon Cluster and the wellbeing of yourself, students, and colleagues, whilst fully engaging with your apprenticeship training.

The United Learning Trust Swindon Cluster is inviting applications for the role of Cluster HR Administrator Apprentice. This is an entry level position, and we would love to hear from people who are able to work with autonomy and a level of independence, applying role-based learning as you progress through the apprenticeship.

You will be keen to develop a career within HR and be committed to delivering an effective, knowledgeable and professional level of service.

You will will study selection of face-to-face training days, online learning and self-directed on the job tasks.

To be eligible for this apprenticeship you must not already hold a level 3 or similar qualification. If you do not hold GCSE English and Maths, grade C/level 4, tuition can be provided as part of the apprenticeship.

You will cover areas such as understanding the role of HR, recording, analysing and using HR information and supporting effective employee relations while developing your skills as an effective HR practitioner.

Entry requirements

Experience working in a school/educational environment is preferred.

Training to be provided

You will complete the level 3 HR Support apprenticeship with United Learning. You will be given 6.5 hours a week during your working hours to study, through a combination of online webinars, self-directed assignments and tasks and 2 in-person training days throughout the programme.

Future prospects

Upon passing the programme, you will be eligible to apply for associate membership with the CIPD. You may choose to then develop your HR career either in education or elsewhere and this training could lead to roles such as HR advisor, HR manager or HR analyst. You may choose to specialise in a certain area of HR such as recruitment.
