KMP deliver a wide range of general medical services to the population of Kingsnorth in Ashford, as well as additional services such as a Paediatric ENT clinic, Gynaecology Clinic, Ultrasound, Vasectomy Clinic, Physiotherapy, Musculo-skeletal Clinic and Cardiology Clinic.

Description of Vacancy
Are you looking to start your career as a Care Navigator? This is a fantastic opportunity with a GP Practice (rated outstanding by CQC) in Ashford, Kent. As well as getting experience working with patients and medical professionals, you will also gain an Apprenticeship Level 2 in Customer Service. - Responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties
- Be a front-line advocate for the Kingsnorth Medical Practice
- Assist patients to make the best use of the services provided within the Practice
- Work in partnership with the whole Primary Health Care Team (PHCT) ensuring excellent communication
- Answering the telephone
- Filing
- Making patient appointments
- Registration of new patients
- Processing of incoming mail both paper and electronic
- Greeting patients at the reception desk
- Scanning
- Use of Email
- Chaperoning
Wage
£281.25 per week / £7.50 per hour
Hours
Monday to Friday
Monday – 12 pm – 8 pm
Tuesday – 8 am – 4 pm
Wednesday – 8 am – 4 pm
Thursday – 10 am – 6 pm
Friday – Study Day (8 hours)
30 minute unpaid lunchbreak on all days
Occasional Saturday working
20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as "Off the Job Training"

Qualifications Required
GCSE Level 9-4 (or Grade A-C) in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.
Training Provided
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard - Customer Services Practitioner Level 2 Standard will establish an Apprentice's skills to deliver high quality service to customers both internally and externally. The Apprenticeship will incorporate knowledge of customers and the customer experience, understanding the organisation, its products/services and their role and responsibilities. Regular work-based assessments/observations carries out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
Additional Detail
As of 1st April 2022, the NMW for Apprentices is £4.81 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
