Fitter/Electrician Apprenticeship opportunity

Opportunity available:
Join us as an Apprentice Electrician/Fitter at Dove Holes Quarry, Buxton (with day release at College) you will get hands on experience in various tasks, that will allow you to develop your skills and experience. In this role you will work on heavy machinery and play a key role in keeping our quarry operation functioning.
You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that daily maintenance is completed to a high standard, through the following role activities:
- General maintenance
- Managing breakdowns on site and fault finding
- Health & Safety responsibility for yourself and others (including risks assessments)
- Development of new systems for better productivity
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, in a safety-first culture
- Active involvement in all work tasks as part of ongoing development
This role will involve working both inside and outside in all conditions, it is not always glamorous, however your health & safety will always be our first priority. You and your colleagues are there to work as a team, help and look out for each other, in a culture where safety is everyone’s responsibility. You will complete the
Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (Electrical and Mechanical Pathways) Level 3
Apprentice via Chesterfield College supported with on-the-job learning, overall providing a good grounding to start an exciting career in our industry.
The Ideal Candidate: Our people come from a variety of different backgrounds and will have the following skills and qualifications:
- 3 GCSEs of grade C and above or numbered equivalent (9-4) in Maths, English and Science or an equivalent vocational qualification.
- A practical and technical aptitude, whilst demonstrating a genuine interest in engineering, technology, or science.
- Passionate about working safely.
- A team player
- Resilient
- Willing to learn and develop.
- Excited about starting a career in the building materials industry.
