Salary Details
Year 1 - £13,693.33; Year 2 - £16,818.27; Year 3 - £19,530.89
What you will need
- At least 3 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade 4 or above, including English and Maths.
- You will be required to hold a full UK driving licence by the end of your second year.
- You must demonstrate that you have the legal Right to Work in the UK.
Above all, you’ll have a desire to work in a practical and hands-on career. Ideally you’ll also have an interest in technology and providing high-quality customer service. We’re looking for individuals who display excellent communication, organisation, and teamworking skills.

About the role
As a fire engineer no two days are the same. You’ll be out and about, providing high quality customer service to a wide variety of customers. You’ll be dealing with electronic fire safety systems including alarm systems and emergency lighting, as either an Installation or Service Engineer.
Your training programme
The training will consist of up to week-long modules covering theory and practical classroom training, manufacturer systems training, and real-world experience shadowing Chubb engineers in the field. By the end of your training programme, you’ll know how to confidently install, service, and maintain a range of fire & life safety systems.
Complete the programme and you will join one of our field installation and maintenance teams as a fully qualified engineer. Here your training will continue, with close support from our early careers team.
Assessment Process
We run a multi-stage assessment process designed to highlight your relevant skills, qualities, and aptitude. You don’t need any previous experience, but it would be a bonus.
