Duties/Responsibilities
On completion of this Apprenticeship you will be able to fulfil a supervisory role in facilities management, leading an operational team to deliver a range of services that meet customer requirements.

- The role will work as part of the Facilities team in the delivery of services to fulfil the contractual requirements, in line with KPI / SLA’s.
- This is an outward-facing role where liaison with customers is a key priority and forms a major part of the role
- Support the delivery of the responsibilities of the Facilities Services function in complying with health and safety and other legislation and organisational policies and procedures.
- Address FM-related risks, hazards and threats to people, property and premises
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers to ensure the effective delivery of a range of facilities services
- Support good sustainable practice in FM
- Maintain soft FM services
- Gather FM-related information for continuous improvement purposes
- Support hard FM functions
- Maintain and develop competence in the FM industry/sector
- Assist with coordinating and planning essential business services such as maintenance, cleaning and waste disposal; along with other key business service activities
- Support the delivery of FM projects
- Ensure the PPE mandate is adhered to by all teams
- Assist in ensuring the overall compliance of the sites, including preperation and participation in technical and quality audits and completion of any corrective actions according to timescales set
- Ensuring that the buildings and facilities meet the required health and safety requirements
Person Specification
- A strong interest in building a career in facilities management
- Studying ( or have qualifications) in Maths, English and a Science or craft based subject to a minimum grade C
- Articulate, numerate and IT literate
- Reasonable understanding of the FM sector
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to identify health and safety and environmental issues
- have good communication skills
- Be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels
- Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
- Problem solving skills
- A willingness to learn, attended various training courses and pass the required standard and to work overtime when required
- Flexible approach to day to day operations and able to adapt according to requirement, sometimes at short notice
Flexible approach to working times
Evening / weekend working may be required to oversee and monitor subcontractor activities
Although the role is London based occasional nationwide travel to regional sites and overnight stays will be requiredBenefits
