Engineering Apprenticeship – Mobility Equipment

Starting salary up to £20,000 Full Time, Monday to Friday

Swindon Stairlifts are one of the South West’s leading stairlift suppliers and have over 10 years of experience in the mobility industry. Due to our expanding business, we have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Mobility Equipment Engineer to join our small and friendly team!

Position: Apprentice Mobility Equipment Engineer
Hours: Monday-Friday
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Area: Swindon and surrounding areas
Starting Salary: Up to £20k
Responsibilities:
Within this role, you will:
· Attend customer callouts for breakdowns and repairs
· Attend scheduled visits for the installation, servicing and maintenance of all types of stairlifts
· Be responsible for the repair and maintenance of various mobility products, such as mobility scooters
· Help in our Swindon based store with deliveries and customer service
· Provide the highest standard of customer service to our clients
About you:
As a successful candidate, you will have:
· A proactive, hardworking attitude
· Good communication and customer service skills
· Experience of working as part of a team
· Flexibility to assist with adhoc but infrequent breakdown call-outs to customers
· Full UK driving licence is essential
· The ability to lift and carry heavy items on a regular basis
· Some experience in the engineering or electrical area would be an advantage
· Some computer knowledge would be an advantage
Your working hours will be 9.30am to 5pm, 5 days per week and a rota basis for infrequent out of hours breakdown call-outs to customers.
