Job description
To gain experience through training, studying and development processes (practical & vocational) complete a course of study and obtain work related professional qualifications ensuring they are able to carry out the role of Technician competently and effectively within a predetermined time frame.
To undertake a range of workshop tasks suited to the current level of training and competency.- To attend college one day a week during term time and complete course work on time and to a high standard.
- To take on additional responsibility in years two & three of apprenticeship as per Workshop Managers instruction.
- To work with an experienced technicians, assisting in repair and maintenance activities.
- Maintain all tools and equipment in a clean and useable state; return tools and equipment to appropriate storage area(s) when not being used. Report any defects to the Workshop Manager.
- To ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the maintenance of clean, tidy and safe working areas.
- To understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all company health & safety and environmental policies and standards are adhered to at all times. To carry out any other duties in line with current capabilities as and when required.

Training Provided:
While learning on the job, you will also attend Exeter College to gain an Engineering qualification.
Additional Information:
Grade 4/C in English and Maths or equivalent.
