Job description
We’re looking for an Apprentice Administrator (Level 3) with excellent communication skills and a positive and proactive attitude to join our professional indemnity insurance team in Huddersfield. You will assist in ensuring the smooth running of all general office procedures and build relationships with brokers and service users. Other duties include: coordinating the administration of the PI Department and assisting in contacting each new joiner to ascertain their PII requirements.
What will the apprentice be doing?
- Coordinate the Administration of the PI Department.
- Assist in contacting each new joiner to ascertain their PII requirements.
- Proactively chase proposal forms and quotations.
- Issue PII Quotations and Certificates.
- Place Members on PI Cover as and when required.
- Withdraw Members PI Cover as and when required.
- Active involvement in the full process of the PI Renewal.
- Assist in answering and resolving inbound telephone queries.
- Liaise with Members and other SimplyBiz Departments on a day to day basis.
- Build and maintain working relationships with Insurers and Brokers.
- Compilation of ad hoc reports at the request of the PI Manager.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Upon completion, you will achieve a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard along with Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths (if required).
- You will attend day release college sessions at National Business College (NBC) on a fortnightly basis.
- NBC is based in the centre of Huddersfield, just a 5 minute walk from the main bus and train stations.
