Salary: NJC Grade D SCP 7 - 11 £22,369 - £24,054 pro rata per annum

Highfurlong School is a four times Outstanding special school in Blackpool, providing education for pupils aged 2-19 years with a wide range of special educational needs. Our state of the art facilities provide education to nursery, primary, secondary and post 16 children and young people. With approximately 110 pupils on roll our ‘child first’ ethos underpins everything that we do. Through all areas of our work we strive to inspire our pupils, challenge them to be the best that they can be and believe in them.

The successful candidate will:
- support the ethos, vison and values of our happy school
- attend to pupil’s personal care needs including intimate personal care for children and young people aged 2-19 years. This equates to 40% of the working week.
- administer feeds and medications and support pupils with communication and therapy programmes
- be a hardworking team player with the ability to communicate well and build positive relationships
- have high expectations of children’s achievements and progress
- have a positive outlook and be keen to contribute to the success of our school
- be an excellent role model to children and peers alike modelling best practice and a positive attitude and work ethic at all times
