Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students and helping them reach their full potential? We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dynamic and inclusive team at a leading educational institution in Bishop's Stortford.
We believe in providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and valued. As an LSA, you will play a vital role in assisting students with their educational and developmental needs, ensuring they have the necessary support to succeed academically and thrive personally.
Responsibilities :
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide one-on-one or small group support to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist in the implementation of personalized learning plans and individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with additional learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting a sense of belonging and encouraging student engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt teaching materials, resources, and activities to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Provide guidance and support to students in developing their study skills, organization, and self-confidence.
- Monitor and track student progress, documenting observations and providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Relevant educational qualifications or certifications in Special Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience working with students in an educational or support capacity.
- Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support students with diverse needs.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to meeting the individual needs of students.
