Learning Support Assistant at Eastward House School, Cardiff
Salary: Dependent on experience.
Hours: Full-time, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Eastward House School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Teacher to join our team. We are a small independent school located in Cardiff, providing education for students with Additional Learning Needs, looking for someone who is passionate about learning and children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons and activities.
- Supporting students with Additional Learning Needs in their learning and development.
- Providing pastoral care and support to students.
- Participating in school events and activities.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience working with students with additional learning needs.
- A relevant degree or qualification in education or a related field.
- Experience working in an independent school or alternative education setting.
