The role

Reporting to the IT & Telecoms Manager, this role will take ownership of the development and implementation of systems review and evaluation, risk mitigation, improvement, and integration. Management of reporting analysis, data and business performance modelling in support of strategic planning and review across the organisation.

Work you will be doing

•Providing support, user training and feedback across a range of databases and middleware applications.

•Designing and implementing test plans to facilitate improvements and resolution of problems to increase systems resilience.

•Mapping and evaluating existing processes and integration of database-relatedsystems.

•Identifying improvements to processes and ways of automating tasks to improvedelivery.

•Identifying and managing associated risks and issues that impact business outcomes.

•Identifying and managing associated risks and issues that impact business outcomes.

•Building and maintaining good relationships with business units and support departments to determine system requirements and future developments ensuring technical viability of solutions.

•Develop, implement, and maintain efficient, reliable, and functional internalprocesses and procedures to ensure business continuity in compliance with ISO9001 requirements.

•Identifying improvements to processes and ways of automating tasks to improvedelivery.

•Develop and maintain internal and client user interfaces to maximise experienceand productivity.

•Lead projects involving deployment or lifecycle replacement of applications requiring backend database services.

•Working with the IT & Telecoms Manager to develop business plans to support the organisational strategy.

•Writing and maintaining Excel reports and database scripts in line with businessrequirements.

•Proactively resolving issues and ad-hoc requests by working across the internal IT team, the business and third-party suppliers as required.

•Develop and maintain a road map for the future of BSRIA’s integrated systems.

•Lead any financial applicayion upgrade programmes.

•Develop policies and procedures on system modifications to software packages.

•Working closely with the Network Manager to develop user lifecycle management processes.

•Line Manage the assigned team.

•Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of database administration and T-SQL scripting.
  • Excellent working knowledge of relational databases.
  • High skills with Excel, including creating and working within Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to correctly interpret front-end-user requirements.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent atention to detail.
  • Effectively communicate at all levels with confidence.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in finance integrations is desirable.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Crystal Reports and Power BI is desirable.
  • Process improvement mindset.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of technologies.
  • Experience in security handling and Implementation.
