The existing applications team in the Ecommerce and Logistics tower (E&L) develop and support this area, working with internal partners and external suppliers to ensure we're delivering customer's online orders on time.
As well as Grocery Home Shopping with Microlise, there are links into the Logistics systems and suppliers, managing systems that help track and fulfil goods around Asda's national network. This includes working with the International teams in Walmart and Global eCommerce too.

Alongside delivery the role demands close management of the 8 suppliers we maintain and rely on to provide services to our stores and depots. This requires contributing to service reviews, service improvement activities and reporting on performance. This requires an understanding of the incident processes to allow meaningful updates to be provided to the Asda Tech Senior team.
