Our Team’s charter includes solution production readiness & user socialization, system integrity, maintenance & support, workflow streamlining, vendor management, and developing training & knowledge articles. Key Qualifications
- You have more than 6 years proven experience using CAD and an exceptional knowledge of NX with a focus in Modeling (parametric and non-parametric), Drafting (MBE/PMI is a bonus), Surfacing, and Assembly management.
- Working knowledge of PDM/PLM usage, Teamcenter highly preferred, and how they integrate with CAD and other systems.
- Experience providing technical training in CAD, PDM and other engineering tools.
- You have extraordinary interpersonal skills and are passionate about delivering world-class services.
- Ability to develop clear and concise technical documents.
Description
The primary responsibilities of the CAD Application Engineer include Providing day to day support for a number of tools deployed in the mechanical environment, with a focus on NX and Teamcenter. Ensuring problems are accurately collected in internal ticketing system and that solutions are provided in a timely manner. Regularly supervising, identifying trends and reporting on metrics for user support. Collaborating with end users, multi-functional partners, and vendors to ensure the best solutions are provided. Identifying trends in support issues and making recommendations for tool and/or workflow changes based on these trends. Documenting process and workflows to enable self-help for the user community and ensure the scalability of support. Balancing customer needs and requests with the scalability of our tools and support efforts. Focusing on improving the workflows directly impacting teams across Apple product teams.
Education & Experience
BS in Mechanical Engineering or significant work experience
Additional Requirements
- Desirable skills:
- Scripting or development experience in NX to implement custom workflow solutions
- Familiarity with Teamcenter capabilities such as CAD Data Management & Integration, BOM
- Management, Change Management, Supplier Collaboration, Enterprise Data Integration
- Familiarity with CAE tools and how they integrate into a mechanical design environment
