The creation of this role is to be an additional resource within the support function. This is due to the increased workload delivery is facing through the growth of the service. You will be supporting every element of the enterprise function delivering new features to current applications and as business usage increases, you'll be supporting more queries coming through.
With the support function increasing it's workload you'll be exposed to a variety of exciting projects. Shawbrook is going through a digital transformation and a lot of your projects will be focused on the migration of applications and ensuring that the security is checked before the migration is complete.
The nature of the role is cross-functional, this will grant you an opportunity to understand different elements of the business providing you with a chance to develop your skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, update, and close out tickets assigned to them
- Performing and monitoring job runs and end-of-day checks
- Managing the support queue.
- Updating and deliver on Jira's ticket boards
- Be required to continue to build and maintain close relationships with the wider team and other functions within the enterprise side of the bank.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and third-party vendors
We believe the right candidate will require five key competencies to be able to perform in this position. These five key skills are listed below;
- SQL: You will be required to investigate data issues through querying on databases which in turn will allow you to develop and maintain reports.
- Hand-on coding: You'll be working with dev teams on the day-to-day completing build runs. When picking up some of these tasks a level of coding will be required.
- Stakeholder management: As mentioned above one of your responsibilities will be to work with third-party vendors and manage support requests. So, stakeholder management is a vital skill in the position.
- Customer service: You will have experience in moving and prioritizing tickets will be vital to your success in this role.
- Agile ceremonies: We work in an AGILE environment at Shawbrook and we will need you to participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to ensure we are managing release correctly.
