About the Organisation:

The Post/Candidate:
We are looking for an Apheresis / Whole Blood Senior Donor Carer Venepuncturist to join our existing team of staff who provide a high standard of care to our donors; you will be required to Perform and monitor venepunctures to obtain apheresis platelets, plasma donations, whole blood and samples in accordance with nationally approved procedures. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, flexible person to undertake this challenging and interesting post. Candidates should be educated to SVQ level 3 or equivalent and have previous experience of dealing with the public in a health or service environment.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Location and Working Pattern:
The role is based at Aberdeen & North-East Scotland Blood Donor Centre, Aberdeen, AB25 2ZW.
This role is part time (24 hours) between Monday to Sundays.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
