We are looking for friendly, well organised and adaptable individuals to join our team at QEMHC as an AO Administrator Receptionist.
Please note this vacancy is advertised at 37 hours per week. Request to work flexibly or Part Time will be considered, taking into account business needs.

Job description
As the successful candidate, you will work within the Medical Centre under the supervision of the Office Manager (OM) and the Business Manager (BM). You will also have responsibility for the quality and smooth running of the administrative area of primary healthcare delivery within the Medical Centre. The duties of the post include the timely preparation of notes and statistics for clinics and surgeries and the accurate administration of medical records of Service personnel.
As the successful post holder, you will be required to maintain data on the Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP) computer system conducting system backups and upgrades, audits and searches of DMICP, as required ensuring that all users are kept up-to-date with the relevant policies and guidelines. You will have a key role in promoting a positive image of the Medical Centre to its patients and other users/visitors.
Person specification
- Maintaining patient and staff confidentiality in accordance with (iaw) the Patient Confidentiality and Staff Confidentiality Protocols. To sign a copy of the former which lists Caldicott Principles; this copy is to be held by the Practice Manager.
- Actioning urgent duties for the Office Manager and Business Manager in their absence to ensure the smooth running of healthcare delivery within the Medical Facility.
- Ensuring all telephone calls are managed appropriately.
- Ensuring DMICP appointment templates are maintained accurately for all clinicians within the Medical and Physiotherapy Department.
- When required, participating in general reception duties including directing enquiries, filing, answering the telephone, mail distribution and booking appointments on DMICP.

Selection process details
This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working from home as a personal choice (if the role is suitable for this). If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.
