General background
The Anti-Bribery and Corruption (“ABAC”) Centre of Excellence sits within the Legal & Compliance Function and is responsible for designing and implementing policies, procedures and internal controls to prevent and detect violations of applicable laws regarding bribery and corruption. It builds on GSK’s business standards and culture to form a comprehensive and practical approach to ABAC compliance that is responsive to the evolving nature of our business.
Job Description
The ABAC Centre of Excellence seeks a manager with prior financial crime compliance, investigatory, accountancy firm or legal experience. The manager will be responsible for reviewing the risks posed by proposed and ongoing third party engagements, potential conflicts of interest and business development transactions. Longer term, the manager will be given opportunities to gain broader experience within the ABAC Centre of Excellence, including building on our data analysis capability and providing business partner training.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented and has strong research, investigative and writing skills, the ability to collaborate with others and, ideally, pharmaceutical industry experience. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders around the organisation, building an understanding of GSK’s business and the context within which we operate.
This role will suit an individual from either industry or financial services either stepping up from an Analyst role or currently working at Managerial level.

Basic Qualifications:
- Degree qualified.
- Demonstrable proven experience in financial crime compliance.
- High-energy, personable and proactive.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills and comfortable presenting findings.
- Highly organised.
- Proficient with large data sets, data manipulation and presenting on data sets.
- Knowledge/experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act and other anti-corruption laws.
- Experience of other financial crime compliance issues including anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and sanctions would be highly valued.
- Ability to multi-task on several different projects.
