Role Title: Animal Practitioner
Location: Northop
Contract Type: Permanent, Full time
Salary: £28,860
We are seeking an Animal Practitioner for our Northop site at Coleg Cambria. In this role, you will deliver practical sessions to learner groups, assessing their progress and providing feedback. You will also assess learners' practical performance and ensure accurate record-keeping. Alongside this, you will address vocational knowledge requirements, integrate key subjects, and contribute to learner reviews and course results.
As an Animal Practitioner, you will care for the animals in our department, maintain their health and welfare, and create a supportive learning environment. You will adhere to College policies, attend marketing events, and provide excellent customer service. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
To be considered, you should have relevant qualifications and experience in animal care. Strong communication skills and a commitment to equal opportunities, health and safety, and quality are essential. Join us and make a difference in the lives of aspiring animal care professionals!
Essential Requirements
Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above
Level 4 or equivalent qualification in Animal Care or other professionally relevant qualification
Recent relevant industrial experience in Animal Care or another professionally relevant sector
Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
Able to work as part of a wider team, and be flexible and adaptable when required
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
