Job description
We are looking for an experienced VCA/ANA to join our friendly team at our busy veterinary hospital in Belfast. We are a small animal only practice with a large number and variety of cases including first opinion, second opinion and referral.
Our new team member will require experience in a veterinary practice - this is essential. Ideally you will have experience in all parts of practice life, as you will be involved in basic nursing duties, animal husbandry, cleaning and also reception and customer care.

Our nursing team consisting of 14 RVNS, 2 SVNS and 2 ANA’s currently have a varied working day which will include admitting/discharging patients, running bloods and other lab work, setting up and monitoring patients throughout GA and in recovery, inpatient care and treatments as well as animal husbandary and maintaining and understanding the importance of a clean clinical environment. We also promote a variety of nurse clinics to our clients, including weight clinics, adolescence progress checks, 6 month checks and post op checks. We have X-Ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, endoscope and a wide range of lab facilities on site.
The rest of our team is made up of 10 vets and 10 customer care advisors.
Hours of work will be 32-40 hours per week with either early or late 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday and 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with time off before/after in return, no night shift requirement.
