An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Animal Keeper to join our Herps team on a full-time basis.
We are looking for candidates with a strong understanding of natural history and biology, and who can apply this to lower vertebrate and invertebrate husbandry and welfare practices.
This post offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of species such as prehensile tailed skink, Burmese black tortoise, crocodile monitor and more. We have exciting plans for our collection and exhibits, offering great opportunities for section, team and personal development.
The successful candidate will have a background in managing naturalistic, planted exhibits that promote natural behaviours and high-quality guest experience. Knowledge of life support system technologies is essential.
Strong communication skills, teamwork and creative thinking are key to this position. In this role you will support the senior keeper and team leader, plus other teams in the organisation as required.
