Job description
We are offering the chance of obtaining a level 2 qualification in animal care and welfare, through an apprentiship. If you want a career working in the animal industry its a great starter opportunity in which you will obtain a qualification.
We work in conjunction with an online college called Keits. This means that the 80% work placement and 20% study time will take place at our premises in Hailsham. The course takes place over approximately 12 - 16 months.
The main duties are caring for dogs and cats boarding with us. ie. keeping their living quarters clean, feeding them and ensuring they receive the necessary exercise and enrichment during their stay.

working Hours: 7am – 5:30pm weekdays and every other weekend (also some bank holidays including Xmas) Lunchtime is between 13.00 and 14.30
Shifts are 3 days one week and 4 days the following week (averaging 31.5 hours per week)
Essential: You must be honest, reliable and trustworthy with good time keeping skills and a passion for animals, with a willingness to learn.
Desirable: Own transport as there is no public transport to our rural location. However we will consider those candidates with no transport of their own if they can demonstrate that they will be able to attend the site when required.
