Open-Ended Contract - Permanent: Part Time - Averaging 28 Hours per Week (Additional 30% Premium Band Uplift Applied to Salaried Hours)
Working Pattern: Four 12 hour shifts on, Eight shifts off in a rolling pattern

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a passion for animals and the drive to make a difference. We are a large veterinary and teaching hospital with a great team of vets, nurses and assistants who are all committed to animal health and welfare. This is a demanding role and requires dedication, proactivity, flexibility, a strong work ethic and a strong belief in delivering the highest standard of patient care.
This post is to backfill for internal staff movement, we have an immersive 6-8 week training programme where you will shadow our friendly and experienced staff to learn the ropes across the hospital.
The Opportunity:
You will work in our out of hours nursing team, covering 4 night shifts on, and then having 8 nights off. You will help cover for the other night ACAs holidays and other periods of absence, accruing paid overtime for any additional hours worked. The shifts are 12 hours long; with one hour of paid lunch.
You will be required to work a share of the public holidays over the Christmas period, should your shifts fall on those dates.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Experience working with animals in a veterinary setting is essential.
- Full, clean driving licence is essential.
- Ability to work alone as well as part of a team is essential.
- Excellent communication skills are essential to this role.
