Brief job description – Analyst
AFP's London-based execution team is seeking a highly motivated Analyst to support its investment activities in the renewable energy sector. The Analyst will play a key role in conducting research and analysis to support the team's decision-making process.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis in relation to renewable energy investment opportunities
- Prepare presentations and investment memorandums to summarize findings and recommendations
- Support the project management and due diligence processes
- Interact with internal teams and external counterparties to gather information
- Build financial models to analyse the economics and viability of potential investments
- Stay up to date with industry developments and competitor activities
Job requirements
- Strong research skills, including the ability to quickly gather, analyse and summarize information from a variety of sources
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data
- Excellent PowerPoint presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and insights
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Drive, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic; ability to work on multiple projects with strict deadlines
Nice-to-have Qualifications
- Understanding of renewable energy technologies and markets, as well as energy finance and project finance principles
- Experience in corporate finance or a related field
- Engineering background
