Brief job description – Analyst

AFP's London-based execution team is seeking a highly motivated Analyst to support its investment activities in the renewable energy sector. The Analyst will play a key role in conducting research and analysis to support the team's decision-making process.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis in relation to renewable energy investment opportunities
  • Prepare presentations and investment memorandums to summarize findings and recommendations
  • Support the project management and due diligence processes
  • Interact with internal teams and external counterparties to gather information
  • Build financial models to analyse the economics and viability of potential investments
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and competitor activities

Job requirements

  • Strong research skills, including the ability to quickly gather, analyse and summarize information from a variety of sources
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data
  • Excellent PowerPoint presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and insights
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Drive, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic; ability to work on multiple projects with strict deadlines

Nice-to-have Qualifications

  • Understanding of renewable energy technologies and markets, as well as energy finance and project finance principles
  • Experience in corporate finance or a related field
  • Engineering background
