Analyst - Technology
Location: Newcastle, Edinburgh or Glasgow
Starting salary: £38,000 - £54,000 + Benefits
Opportunity
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of the Bank’s change and improvement agenda as an Analyst in Technology.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience as an Analyst, preferably in a financial services organisation with the ability to demonstrate how you have become a subject matter expert in an area such as Insurance, Payments or Credit Cards, or a technical area such as Mobile Banking or Security
- Demonstrable background in driving the creation of requirement outputs, using a breadth of effective techniques to enable the successful delivery of change
- Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders of all levels across the bank, unafraid to challenge
- Adaptable approach to changing priorities, ability to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency and focus
- Ability to lead, facilitate and share best practices with your peer group, maximising the effectiveness and efficiency of your team
- Experience in Agile methodologies and the use of tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Keen awareness of latest technologies and industry trends, with strong commercial acumen.
The Role
- Responsible for agreeing and defining business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, workshops and workflow analysis
- You’ll work with colleagues on technical solutions to problems, resolving incidents and delivering process and product improvements
- Understanding and analysing several different areas including potential customer impact, complexity of change and requirements from stakeholders. May also include analysing data such as customer volumes, customer service impact and costs & benefits
- You’ll work within one of our agile delivery teams or project teams where you will play a key role in the delivery of software or process changes which benefit our Customers and the Bank
- As a team, we are keen on 'getting stuck in', with a focus on project-based learning. Communication skills are vital to collaboration, and the successful candidate will be passionate, and keen to learn and develop their own skills.
