Job description
Senior analysts on the business planning team focus on supporting growth initiatives across Tenet and USPI markets including service-line growth, business development, mergers & acquisitions, and new-facility development (e.g., expansion of hospitals, ASCs, imaging centers, and free-standing emergency departments). Our team serves as direct advisors to the CSOs, CEOs, and market presidents and provide data-driven guidance along with building out tools and assets to empower market-level decision-making.
Beyond market support, analyst will be critical in developing the team infrastructure necessary to help drive strategic work. This will involve building/running a bespoke sales operations engine to enable business development efforts, refreshing and upgrading strategic dashboards empowering market leaders, and developing ad-hoc analyses for markets and corporate leaders. Key internal projects will range from acquisitions / divestitures, effectiveness assessment of corporate programs, long-term strategic planning, and financial modeling of new programs / initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as advisor to hospital CSO and CEOs for major growth initiative
- Manage annual and multi-year business planning activities for select markets or business unit
- Develop and maintain market analytics solution(s) deployed across the enterprise, inclusive of managing external vendor relationships
- Develop materials for market assessment and pro-forma development for major capital projects
- Prepare and give presentations to Senior Management
- Develop solutions to ad-hoc analytical and reporting requests utilizing available tools and technologies
- Partner with market operators as well as develop communications for senior executives and Board discussions
- Work with senior business leaders to develop data-driven recommendations to complex problems and effectively communicate insights to C-suite of Tenet and USPI
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Experience with Excel including developing complex scenario-based decision support models/proformas
- Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive to actionable solutions
- Strong verbal and written communications, including presentation skills
- 2-4 years of related work experience in management consulting, financial services, or decision support in healthcare (preferred)
- Strong sense of accountability, including a passion for owning, organizing, and driving multiple projects in parallel and seeing them through to completion
- Ability to organize effectively, solve problems quickly and clearly articulate a position with sound logic and supporting empirical evidence
- A mastery of a variety of communication modalities is required to include leading meetings, making formal presentations, and writing complex documents and managing complex relationships over time

- Experience with decision support tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI)
