Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company’s new Direct to Consumer video entertainment service targeted to families. The service consists of long form and short form video built around six key content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star) with an appealing and easy to use interface accessed across multiple platforms (e.g. televisions, mobile devices).
The Disney+ team is responsible for the roll out and ongoing performance and operations of Disney+ across EMEA, specifically focused on programming strategy, marketing, customer acquisition and retention, partnerships, research, and analytics.
We are looking for a highly skilled and detailed analyst to join our Disney + Analytics & Insights EMEA team with a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining our key data models and analytics solutions. You will be collaborating across the Analytics & Insights team and some of our key stakeholders to gather requirements, implement data pipelines, ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability with the end goal of developing self-service solutions.
This is a pivotal role within the Disney+ business, which will drive our self-serve capability and allow the democratisation of insights generation that will directly feed into business decisions and action plans across the region.
This position requires someone to work from our Hammersmith offices 4 days a week.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to collect, process, and transform data from various sources into usable formats for analysis.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including the A&I team, and business users, to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Implement data models, schemas, and ETL workflows to support data analysis, reporting, and visualization needs.
Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets efficiently.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance.
Build self-service tools that allow our region wide stakeholders to understand the business performance.
Help automate processes that are currently manual.
The Experience We Require From You
Excellent proficiency in SQL and working with data warehousing technologies (e.g. Snowflake).
Knowledge of orchestration and version control tools such as Airflow and Git.
Ability to use data visualisation tools such as Looker/Tableau.
Programming skills in Python or R.
Collaborative working style with desire to help others.
Detail Orientated to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
Ability to be agile around changing needs, whilst meeting project deadlines
Drive to make things better.
Experience in data pipeline and data model development.
Ability to take requirements and build efficient, robust, and scalable solutions.
