We currently have an opportunity available in our Client Delivery Team for an Anti-Money Laundering Team member.
Job Description
Cardnets Anti-Money Laundering Team are seeking a confident individual who role models the Group’s Values & Behaviours for an exciting opportunity to join the team.
The AML Team are front and centre of ensuring regulatory checks are performed within short timelines for both new and current businesses with acquiring needs. In conjunction with group wide CDD standards, you’ll also be responsible for undertaking OKYC checks for existing Cardnet merchants.
You’ll be joining the team during a time of change and thus a dynamic and eager to learn colleague will be a requisite.
Onboarding/KYC Analyst (Band C role) is a specialist skillset, with requirement to operate within a regulatory environment and balance a number of important tasks:
  • Use a range of methodical skills combined with necessary Money Laundering Regulations knowledge to assess applications and on-board within service level agreement.
  • Undertaking on-going due diligence for existing commercial clients in line with internal Customer Due Diligence (CDD) standards and within regulatory timelines.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and refresh KYC documents of existing client in accordance with their risk banding.
  • Identify, review and disposition of all PEP’s, Sanctions and Adverse media at onboarding stage assessing the risks posed to the firm
  • Effectively manage KYC inbox; ensuring all emails are responded to.
  • Monitor any material changes that may impact the risk status of client files.
  • Monitor and report on SARS to internal stakeholders.
  • Not mandatory but preferable to have previous experience of Client Onboarding (AML/KYC) gained within financial sector, and an understanding of the acquiring markets in which Lloyds Cardnet operate.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of AML Compliance laws, rules, regulations and risk.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate with both internal and external personnel.
  • Able to produce excellent written communication.
  • Ability to engage lateral thinking and problem solving techniques to overcome issues and find opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to challenge status quo, with ultimate aim in ensuring Cardnet is the UK’s leading acquirer.
