Platinum Ambulance Service are recruiting Ambulance care assistants for our PTS contracts
We are looking for people who are interested in a career not just a job. You don’t need previous qualifications, or even experience in this field; all we ask is that you are willing to learn and can provide excellent care to our patients. All training needed will be provided.
As an Ambulance Care Assistant, there are no two days are the same. Your main purpose is to provide and maintain a caring environment for non-emergency patients, transporting them to and from hospital appointments.
ACAs drive a range of ambulance vehicles under normal road conditions and carry out checks to vehicles at the start of and during each shift, to make sure they are clean, have fuel and are appropriately stocked.
These are some of the essential criteria you will need to be successful as an ACA:
- Be self-motivated.
- Hold a valid full B category driving licence.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to make decisions, take responsibility and respond to a changing workload.
- Ability to remain calm while working under pressure.
- Ability to work within a Team environment and alone.
- Effective communicator.
- Flexible approach to work and shift work.
