Job title: Alumni Engagement Officer (Groups and Events).
Department: Advancement.
Contract Type: Permanent. The successful candidate must be based in the UK for the duration of their contract.
Location: Hybrid - Three days per week working on campus in Bloomsbury, London and two days per week working remotely.
Salary: £40,291.82 - £46,060.82 inclusive of London Weighting.
Location: Bloomsbury, London.
Hours: 35 per week, 1 FTE.

About the Department:
Every year SOAS raises millions of pounds in philanthropic income and engages with alumni and key stakeholders around the world. Sitting within the main Directorate, Advancement is a core function of the University, working closely with the SOAS Director to deliver fundraising and alumni engagement goals and objectives. The Department’s vision is to enhance networking, alumni engagement and philanthropic support for the University
About the Role
The post holder will be a core member of the Alumni Engagement team with a focus on building a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship with our UK and international alumni groups and networks. We look to our global community to help build regional communities of alumni, to open doors and raise the profile of SOAS. We support their network activities in a variety of ways; to share SOAS research and strategy, facilitate the exchange of best practice between groups, and inform alumni in their networks of the benefits and services available to them.
The post holder will be the group’s first point of contact and will provide relevant guidance and support to help groups with activities, events and other initiatives aligned with the Alumni Engagement strategy. The post holder will also ensure that there is adequate stewardship of these volunteers. The post holder will work closely with the Alumni Engagement Manager and other members of the Advancement team, as well as relevant internal stakeholders at the University to deliver the overall Alumni Engagement strategy at SOAS.
