Are you interested in agricultural commodities and keeping up with the marketplace?
This role would be suitable for a new graduate/trainee trader or an ambitious candidate looking to open the door to a commercial career in agriculture.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a dedicated interest in agriculture looking for a commercial career as an Alternative Feeds Trader, this role will be based from our Coylton Mill, Ayrshire.
Salaries are dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed on application.
About this role:
- Providing advice and support to farmers to enable them to make informed purchasing decisions
- Trade alternative feeds such as soya, rape, wheat and barley to our farming customer base
- Support the sales of the added value and processed grain products, such as fats & caustic wheat
- Building longstanding relationships with our customers, suppliers, and field sales team
- Proactively seek new customers through regular prospecting
- Liaising with our suppliers to ensure our customers receive the best possible pricing and service levels
For this role, you will need:
- A keen interest to develop an understanding of the agricultural commodities market, trends, pricing, and demand
- Passionate with a sound understanding of UK agriculture and terminology
- Drive and determination, and comfortable working within a sales environment
Previous experience working in an agricultural commercial environment, or any relevant agricultural experience would be advantageous.
