Available Job Today To support the ATC team, we are looking to recruit an AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL ASSISTANT to join Leeds Bradford Airport, to assist in providing AIR TRAFFIC SERVICES.

Main Responsibilities

• The ATCA is responsible to the HoATS for the provision of general assistance to the on duty ATCOs to ensure the safe, expeditious and efficient provision of the Air Traffic Service.
• Provide specialist operational support to the ATCOs in both Tower and Radar positions.
• Provide Clearance Delivery function in VCR in support of the Aerodrome ATCO.
• Liaise with other operational departments.
• Provide Meteorological observations and dissemination via the METCOM.
• Maintain currency of MET certification.
• Carry out simulator pilot duties where trained.
• Other Operational Support Assistant duties as directed by management.
• To maintain the highest possible standards, professionalism and customer focus when representing the department and the Airport.
• Performing safety duties in accordance with the LBA Safety Management Manual.

Person Specification

• 
  Experience of using Microsoft Office software
• Basic knowledge of airport + aircraft operations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade 9 to 4/A+ to C, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Equivalent vocational skills acceptable
• Previous aviation experience (Desirable)
• Met Observers Certificate (Desirable)
• Air Ground Radio Operators Licence (Desirable)
