Our Client is a key player within the Fresh Produce sector, supplying Fruit products to major retailers and well versed in growing & supplying a strong portfolio of Fruit crops. We offer a new opportunity within their growing division, as Senior Agronomist.
The opportunity of Senior Agronomist offers a fantastic opportunity to join a key fruit player in the industry and become an integral part of the senior management team. The successful Senior Agronomist will be a highly versatile and practical individual who understands the dynamics of a challenging environment.
Liaising with a large base of fruit growers in the South East
Representing the agronomy team on their Grower Research Advisory Panel
Working with the Head of Agronomy to ensure that the production and market demands are aligned
Manage regional and crop benchmarking groups in order to and promote best practice and continuous improvement by the companies growers.
We require;
Evidence of extensive experience working in a comparable Senior Agronomy role, preferably within the Fruit sector
Experience of successfully managing a team remotely
Exposure to laboratory management
Regional and crop benchmarking
Crop development & promotion
BASIS & FACTS certifications
A full driving licence is essential, due to travel required
Salary; Competitive and reflective of Senior level
Location; Kent, with UK travel
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
