Agricultural Compliance Officer
(Cranswick Country Foods, Hull or Watton)
Summary
Cranswick is a leading food producer in the UK, renowned for its commitment to excellence, sustainability, and animal welfare. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Agricultural Compliance Officer to join our team and oversee the compliance of our agricultural supply chain, working closely with both owned and third-party farming businesses. As an Agricultural Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to Cranswick and customer standards, thereby maintaining our industry reputation and brand integrity.
Main duties include (but not limited to):
- To work with Certification Bodies and producers to ensure that all retailer aligned farms are certified to the correct standards.
- To oversee the management of customer compliance databases and farm certification processes.
- To work with factory technical teams in customer factory audits to provide evidence that Cranswick is compliant to customer standards.
- To be the point of contact for all customer agricultural compliance related queries.
- To work with Cranswick’s Livestock team to schedule and organise retailer farm audits with internal farming businesses and third-party producers.
- To be Cranswick’s representative on retailer farm audits, working with the auditor and producers to explain Cranswick’s retailer farm standard and audit process.
- To understand and support producers on any observations or non-conformances raised on audits, working with producers to close out and provide the necessary corrective action evidence in the allocated time frame.
Requirements, experience and person specification
· Suitably qualified, ideally with a degree in Food, Science or Agriculture.
· A minimum of two years’ experience in the Food or Agriculture sector – preferably in pigs or poultry.
· Must be an effective communicator, with excellent people skills and be team orientated at all levels.
· Experience of working with retailers would be a bonus.
· Full training and personal development will be given.
