Scope:

We are in the process of moving multiple large datasets of information from various providers/systems into a single DW for BI. For the data warehouse migration to be successful, the data needs to be trustworthy, delivered quickly, and be tightly aligned with end-user needs. These systems are generally patient data repositories, and can be either on premise or cloud based.

Objective:

To source an Agile Project Manager to oversee all the elements of a data migration project in the most intuitive way possible. This programme comes with a high level of technical and logical complexity, and will require focus to manage the intricate cycles of analysis, release planning, and data modeling, from risk management and facilitation, to implementation among a broad group of stakeholders. And to build a migration roadmap to efficiently and effectively tie business stakeholder needs to technology initiatives.

  • Agile Programme Management Certification (Scrum) or relevant experience
  • Implement a Scrum model into what we do/how we already work
  • Plan, schedule, and manage data migration activities with business owners and technical teams

  • Frequent interactions with SMEs, individuals and shared consensus over processes and tools
  • Structure your work in the form of epics and stories to be able to respond to change
  • Produce a well-prioritised backlog and report on progress
  • Set up sprint schedules and objectives for each sprint and teams.
  • Review epics, break them into stories with acceptance criteria, and organise them into sprints
  • Set up a daily stand-ups between teams.
  • Build a communications and reporting plan for implementation oversight meetings.
  • Use Agile metrics to prove that teams are healthy and delivering value.
  • Manage sprints with a primary focus on the following:
  • • Learn by doing—align, enable, and mobilise the workforce and resources.
  • • Start small, create early successes, and build to full migration capacity.
  • Capture outputs, best practices, and lessons learned to use as building blocks for migrations at scale.
  • Create blueprints of Agile delivery for scaling migrations
